The Lexus stand at the GENEVA Automobile Fair 2005 required creativity, brains and faultless project management in no small measure. Together with our marketing partner Majert, we created the back-lighting system for this demanding project. A six-metre wall of light formed the background for automobiles in the Extra class and featured 300 plastic tubes in its construction. Each tube could be individually controlled, to create a stepless, flowing sequence of colours over the entire area of the wall. Over 2 kilometres of LED-Streifen B strips were built into this feature.
The illuminated floor was equipped with no less than 7,500 LED-Kachel B tiles, pre-built into aluminium housing. The short distance required to provide an even backlight, meant that the floor height could be kept to just 150mm and visitors to the stand were bathed in softly flowing colour washes, across the entire stand.
